When it comes to wedding stories, Janice Thompson never fails to deliver fun, humor and sweet, sweet romance. Her perfectly-paced “Never a Bridesmaid,” the latest novella in Zondervan’s A Year of Weddings, captures the role of bridesmaid well. Ever the planner and good-natured sister, main-character Mari takes on the craziness of wedding planning to make up for her sister’s poorly chosen, often absent maid of honor, and her story contains no shortage of classic wedding moments, tender sisterly bonding and one very attractive best man. Thompson’s light-hearted wedding novella is a pleasure to read and will not disappoint fans of the Weddings collection. I certainly enjoyed it and would recommend it.
