Emmie joins the characters of the series’ previous novellas out at Fort Laramie, escaping her misfortunes in love and hoping to start over. Though the summary once again gives away most of this novella’s events, fans of the series will surely be pleased with A Heart’s Betrayal - it’s an enjoyable historical read that has me excited for another potential romance between the heartbroken Emmie and the genuine, likeable Isaac. Now, I can’t wait to read the next novella, A Heart’s Promise.
