A Daring Sacrifice by Jody Hedlund

★★★★
In a reverse twist on the Robin Hood story, a young medieval maiden stands up for the rights of the mistreated, stealing from the rich to give to the poor. All the while, she fights against her cruel uncle who has taken over the land that is rightfully hers. Forced to live in the woods and hide with the poor people she's grown to love, she works to save and protect them, but she never anticipates falling in love with the wealthy knight who represents all she's come to despise.

After loving An Uncertain Choice last year, I couldn’t wait to see what Jody Hedlund would do with another medieval YA romance. This new novel following An Uncertain Choice, A Daring Sacrifice, gives one of Rosemarie’s dashing knights another chance at love as he returns home and encounters a daring and captivating lady-turned-bandit. The two soon make a deal to experience one another’s very different worlds and venture into a Robin-Hood-esque plot thick with danger, adventure, romance, and sacrifice. I quickly fell in love with the hero and heroine of A Daring Sacrifice - both charming, determined, brave, generous - and enjoyed how their story unfolded. I have no problem highly recommending this hard-to-put-down book to interested readers - it’s a fun, addictive read.

Thanks to BookLook Bloggers, I received a copy of A Daring Sacrifice and the opportunity to honestly review it. 1. Strong female lead with romance and adventure. Just what the doctor ordered.
